House cleaning in Chelsea and how to clean your coffee machine

If your coffee consistently comes out weak and bitter, no matter how good and expensive coffee you put into your coffee machine odds are your machine needs cleaning. As we all know the build up of scale here in London is through the Richter scale. Here is a little friendly tip on how to clean your coffee machine:

Fill the decanter with 2 cups white vinegar, (it has to be white vinegar) and 1 cup water. Place a filter in the machine and pour the solution into the coffeemakers water chamber. Turn on the coffeemaker and let it run through a full brew cycle. Remove the filter and replace it with a fresh one. then run clear water through the machine for two full cycles, replacing the filter again for the second brew. If you have soft water, clean your coffeemaker after 80 brew cycles - 40 if you have hard water.

Same principle goes for the tea drinkers out there.

To eliminate lime and mineral deposits in a teakettle, bring 3 cups full-strength white vinegar to a full boil for five minutes and leave the vinegar in the kettle overnight. Rinse out with cold water the next day and bring the kettle to a boil again with fresh water, discard and then the kettle is ready to use.
